We managed to sleep right through till 7am after going to bed at 9. I could get used to this. We were off to Hollywood Studios today, the park we feel has changed the most since we were last here. We had a new plan for Vicky going through security. She had changed sunglasses cases for a simple sac with no metal on. Let’s see how that goes.
We shared a quick service meal for breakfast, it’s tricky finding something without bacon and sausage!
Arriving at Hollywood Studios
In front of the Chinese theatre
In front of the Tower of Terror
I found a bunch of balloons
Us and some other people riding scary rides
Vickys veggie lunch at The Star Wars themed Docking Bay
Amazing detail in the Star Wars land
We were captured by real Stormtroopers on Rise of the Resistance! So much fun
Leaving Hollywood Studios on the skyliner
Going for a nosy round Carribean beach, a moderate hotel like ours, but not as nice
Set menu at Sebastian’s bistro at Carribean Beach. Bread and salad to start
Then two huge platters of meat or plant based things, and a side of gorgeous unusual veg
Followed by this delicious bread and butter coconut pudding, where we asked our waiter just to bring one. We were no where near finishing any of the courses. Total cost (if not on the dining plan, free to us of course) $38, or £27 per person! We had cocktails too of course.
Notable Events
Vicky got stopped and strip searched on entering the park. The security man was perplexed by her constant apprehension. The only thing he could think of was that she was not holding her umbrella out far enough in front because of her T-Rex arms. We will keep you posted.
We loved the new ride that replaced the Great Movie ride, oh how we laughed as we rode Micky runaway train.
Tower of terror was not as bad as I remembered, although you may think differently from the photo. They have also kindly sent a video but that wont go on the blog. We are loving the photo passes.
The quick service meals at both Animal Kingdom and here have been really good. Plenty of exotic veg, not the chicken and chips everywhere I was expecting. I was particularly pleased as Vicky had plenty of beetroot on hers which she gave to me.
The Star Wars land is amazing. We loved Rise of the Resistance where our spaceship was captured by the Third Order and Kylo Ren. The Third Order guards were real people who shouted at you to get in line and tried to interrogate us. We were loaded into a transport to be taken for questioning and of course escaped. Sadly no photo was taken on this one.
We have now been on all the Disney modes of transport. Bus, Boat, Monorail, and Skyliner.
As soon as we got back, around 8pm, I showered then sat on the bed to write this blog, where I promptly dozed off. I woke around 9.30 to clean my teeth then went back to bed and woke at 7.30am!

Looking at the size of those meals do Gusto do low calorie options for when you get back 🤣🤣
